About Us
3 Consulting Engineers is and engineering firm formed by professionals who saw where the industry was going and wanted to make a market correction. Our team consists of Principals and Engineers. 3 Consulting Engineers’s Principals believe in sound engineering practices, timely responses and professional work ethic.
When we reach out to clients, the feedback we hear time and time again is that typical engineers don’t respond properly. Either they aren’t paying attention to the project details or they aren’t responding in a timely manner. 3 Consulting Engineers will not be the “typical” engineer. We work hard at focusing on the details and our response time. No one likes to be ignored.
As the principals of the firm, we are fully committed to you, your project and your schedule. We have every reason to be the best engineers you’ve ever worked with and we intend to prove it.
3 Consulting Engineers has a deep knowledge of the building codes and the equipment needed to meet your building needs, but also your budget. With our wealth of project experience, 3 Consulting Engineers can tackle any hurdle.
We invite you to contact us anytime to discuss your project’s Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing needs. Our goal is to consult you through your options, solve your problems, but not change your mind.
We are small, but have big ideas. We are experienced, but always listen first. We are fast, but accurate.
Chad Smith
Chad started his career in the electrical trade right out of high school at age 18. He values his apprenticeship and the hands-on learning experience it affords him every day. It forced him to grow up fast; there were no excuses on the jobsite. He learned the value of hard work, both physically and mentally and worked his way through college right here in Denver.
As his electrical career progressed, Chad was asked to spearhead the Design-Build engineering department for Productive Electric, LLC. That was 1998, and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. Being the department head, Chad oversaw all aspects of the project. They included, but were not limited to, electrical engineering, estimating, purchasing, project management, client relations and construction.
Chad is honored to have engineered and constructed hundreds of projects across the Rocky Mountain and Intermountain West regions from surgery centers, retail town centers, office remodels to countless tenant improvements. This vast experience enables him to design a complete electrical system that meets the client’s needs every time and on budget.
Chad’s core values are honesty, integrity and accountability. He is a 5th generation Coloradoan and 3rd generation electrician and is proud to still hold his electrical licenses.
