Drafter
This is an entry level position that entails working with the engineering team. Tasks will include preparing AutoCAD® sheets and picking up redlines from the other designers/engineers. You will also assist in photometric designs and calculations. As you progress and depending on your level of interest, we will help you learn how to design mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Here are some responsibilities for the position we are looking to fill:
- Assist the team in the assembling of organized sets of drawings
- Assist the team in the design of organized sets of drawings
- Experience with AutoCAD®; Revit® is a plus
- Strong task organization skills – ability to self-manage multiple tasks competing for time and attention, and achieve need dates for all assigned tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Engineer/Designer
Looking to fill positions for both Mechanical and Electrical Disciplines – Preferably with 2 to 5 Years’ Experience
This position entails working with the project team, preparing construction documents and specifications and preparation of additional reports, as needed. Your responsibilities will vary depending on your level of experience and the project type.
Here are some responsibilities for the position we are looking to fill:
- Prepare construction drawings detailing the building systems, including system design calculations; ensuring that all drawings are prepared with accuracy, neatness and speed
- Select equipment/fixtures for use in building systems
- Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines/companies
- Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and work through design constraints
- Assist the design team in the process of assembling organized sets of drawings
- A BS Degree in Engineering with 2 years’ (minimum) work experience
- Experience with AutoCAD® is required
- Experience with Revit® is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- When necessary, the ability to travel locally for field work at client sites
- A strong communicator capable of working in a fast-paced team environment and be an active participant
- A team a player with the ability to be diplomatic, take direction, work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Possess an understanding of materials, systems and commercial building construction
- Willing to take ownership of projects needs while serving a diverse client base with technically interesting project needs
- The ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities from various project deadlines while maintaining sound customer relations
- Be able to relate to building construction, their components in three dimensions, and interact with other disciplines to coordinate all document efforts
